"Shapes of Words or Hints of Words"

In 1984,Issue 4 of British magazine "Abstract" published a three-page article about This Mortal Coil.
I am scanning some of it here since it contains a Gordon Sharp photo that you seldom see, together with questions regarding Gordon's work for Ivo's project.

Hello there David.
I cannot really tell.
This Mortal Coil photos for Kangaroo, both the record and the poster that you can find here in some other post, were made by Chris Garnham, who unfortunately passed away a few years ago.
But this one could be by a different photographer.

chris garnham definately took the picture of me that is here,i'm guessing he took the whole lot but i'm not sure.sadly he died in a boating tragedy on the river thames in 1989.

Cinder, how do you feel about your contribution to "It'll End In Tears" all these years on? Is it something that you're particularly proud of? I've always been very curious where these tracks live in your heart and brain compared with the rest of your work?

kevimetal... i'm comfortable with my contributions to this mortal coil.i'm proud of what i did.it was part of the overall journey... i knew what it was that i wanted to do with cindytalk so it was fortuitous that ivo came along at that moment and offered me an alternative area to play with.i used it to help create a dichotomy.two parts moving in almost opposite directions, which was already a theme within cindytalk itself.my participation in this mortal coil helped to reinforce that tension.it had it's down side though and gave people the chance to complain that i wasn't following the more obvious path all of the time.and whilst it undoubtedly open many doors for us it also slammed a few in our faces.my work within cindytalk is far more dear to me of course but
all in all i have no regrets in doing it.
