Why elephants never forget
"May 7th 2010 and amidst an already deepening depression, today brings dark clouds from all directions.
The Labour vote increased in Scotland and the Conservative vote increased in England. Those of us that live on the margins will find our lives becoming much more difficult as those wolves in sheeps clothing begin to cut a swathe through much needed services, so that they can assist the already rich with tax cuts...
On this day in 2008 our friend and fellow musical traveller, Matt Kinnison died, I miss him immensely.
My life is such that I have few deep and resonant friendships, Matt was definately one and it hurts badly that not only was he robbed of further adventures but that I was robbed of sharing them with him.Matt asked me to donate all of his Cindytalk royalties to an elephant sanctuary and with help from his sister B we decided that the David Sheldrick trust was the best place to donate to.
It was my intention to set up a fund for Matt and Cindytalk so that we would have a place that all of us could contribute to if we were so able.
Today,my thoughts are with Matt and the elephants.... "

Matt Kinnison left us two years ago today.
